Where can you watch it?
And what have you seen already?

For every movie and show, Wovia tells you which service has it — split into subscription, free, with ads, rent and buy. Add your services and you see first what costs you nothing extra. Wovia also keeps your watch diary, down to the single episode. In your browser – apps for Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV are coming.

The Wovia apps show the same lists as the website, and you sign in with the same Winku account. They’re in testing; Google Play, the App Store and the Mac app are coming.

Android, iPhone and iPad: a home screen with continue watching and your watchlist, browsing with filters, collections, your watch diary and “Me” with your screen time. On iPad and tablets, the list and the title sit side by side.

Mac: Wovia with a sidebar in its own window.

Apple TV: continue watching on the big screen, Top 10, browsing and your watchlist. One click opens the service’s app, for many right at the title. You sign in with your phone: in the Wovia app under Settings → “Sign in a TV” – or with a code on winku.de (opens in a new tab).

In the apps for Android, iPhone, iPad and Mac: Help & feedback in the settings and “Delete Winku account” right in the app.

Titles, images and descriptions come from TMDB; TMDB compiles the availability from JustWatch data. Wovia uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Direct links to titles on some services and the German voice cast come from Wikidata (free, CC0). For this, our server only asks for the title’s identifiers, never about you.

Question not listed?Ask us via support
  1. How much does Wovia cost?

Nothing. No ads, no tracking. For your lists you only need a Winku account, and that’s free.

  2. Do I need an account?

Not for searching and looking things up in your browser. Saving, ticking off and rating need a Winku account, and so do the apps – the same account as for every other Winku service.

  3. Where does the availability data come from?

From JustWatch, provided via TMDB. Wovia passes it on unchanged. Offers change all the time; what the service itself shows always counts.

  4. Why are there no prices?

The API doesn’t provide them. Wovia shows whether a title is available to rent or buy and takes you to the service for the price.

  5. Is there a Wovia app?

Soon. The apps for Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV are done and in testing; they’re coming to Google Play and the App Store. Until then, Wovia runs right here in your browser, on your phone too. Your lists will be the same in the app.

  6. Can I bring my lists from JustWatch?

Yes. Wovia imports lists from JustWatch, IMDb, Letterboxd and Trakt, your Netflix viewing history or a spreadsheet of your own. Your browser reads the file itself; only the entries are uploaded.

  7. Who puts the collections together?

Users do – and every suggestion is checked before it counts: an AI (Claude by Anthropic) only sees the titles, years and plot summaries, not your account. Each account can make a few suggestions a day.

  8. Can I tick off a whole show at once?

Yes, all at once or by season. Episodes that haven’t aired yet are left out – nobody can have seen them. When a new season comes out, the show is unfinished again by itself.

  9. Can anyone see what I watch?

No. Your lists belong to your account. Others only see what you share with a link yourself. Ratings only go into the Wovia rating anonymously, and you can switch that off in the settings.

  10. Can I delete everything?

Yes. “Delete my Wovia data” in the settings removes everything right away; your Winku account stays. If you delete your Winku account, your Wovia data goes with it.

  11. Is Wovia part of JustWatch or TMDB?

No. Wovia is an independent Winku service and isn’t affiliated with JustWatch, TMDB or any streaming service.
