Dubster
Free · Windows · Version 2.0.841 review

Every video becomes
a dub pack.

Dubster turns videos into ready-to-use Dub Packs for The Choicer Voicer – automatically and entirely on your own PC. Speakers are detected and separated, speech is transcribed, and in the built-in studio you cut everything to fit before you export your pack or share it via link.

How it works

  1. Pick a source

Video or YouTube link, optional time range, set your options.

  2. Analysis

Dubster separates voices, detects speakers and transcribes – then the studio opens.

  3. Fine-tune & export

Cut and assign voicelines, then create the pack. Ready to share or use directly in the game.

What’s new in 2.0.84

2.0.84 (28.08.2026)

  • The anonymous identifier is now removed at startup while no consent is on record – not only once you answer the question. Dismissing the dialog no longer leaves one behind.

System requirements

  • Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
  • Recommended: an NVIDIA GPU (CUDA) for fast analysis; also runs on CPU (slower)
  • Internet only for YouTube sources, login and sharing packs – the processing itself is local

    What changed

    2.0.83 (28.08.2026)

    • If you choose "Do not send" or withdraw later, an anonymous identifier that already exists is now deleted as well – not just left unused. If you consent, an old identifier is discarded and a new one is created.

    What changed

    2.0.82 (28.08.2026)

    • If your sign-in has expired while Dubster asks whether your account may use the service, you are no longer mistaken for being blocked – Dubster asks without an account and carries on.
    • Updated Winku library (1.46.0).
  • v2.0.8126 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.81.exe · 78.1 MBDownload
    What changed

    2.0.81 (26.08.2026)

    • Dubster now asks Winku whether your account may use the service. Normally everyone may, and you will not notice. If access is restricted, Dubster shows Winku's notice verbatim. You are never locked out because of a network problem or an error.
  • v2.0.8026 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.80.exe · 78.1 MBDownload
    What changed

    2.0.80 (26.08.2026)

    • Wording corrections in texts that no check had reached until now: the message shown when the program has been altered, and four places in the web installer with missing umlauts.
  • v2.0.7826 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.78.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.78 (26.08.2026)

    • The record of your consent now explicitly states that it applies only to the terms of use, not to the privacy policy.
  • v2.0.7726 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.77.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.77 (26.08.2026)

    • Updated Winku library (1.38.0).

    What changed

    2.0.76 (26.08.2026)

    • Updated Winku library (1.37.0). Cleaned up: translated channel names that were still present in the program although no longer displayed anywhere – the channels are called Stable, Beta and Dev.
  • v2.0.7526 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.75.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.75 (26.08.2026)

    • Before setup, Dubster now states which third-party software will be installed on your computer - Python, Deno, FFmpeg and around 80 Python packages – that it does not come from Winku and is downloaded directly from its providers, and that those providers will see your IP address. You can cancel at this point.
    • The license text of the bundled FFmpeg library is now in the program folder under "lizenzen", together with a note on its origin and replaceability.
  • v2.0.7426 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.74.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.74 (26.08.2026)

    • New "About Dubster" area in the account section: version, terms of use, privacy policy and the new overview of third-party licenses at winku.de/lizenzen.
  • v2.0.7326 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.73.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.73 (24.08.2026)

    • On first start Dubster now asks separately whether anonymous usage figures may be sent. Without your consent nothing is reported and no identifier is created on your device. You can change this at any time in the account area.
    • The consent screen no longer requires you to agree to the privacy policy. It is information, not a declaration of intent – taking note of it is enough. Only the terms of use are agreed to, and only for those are the time and version stored.
  • v2.0.7224 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.72.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.72 (24.08.2026)

    • Updates from the beta and Dev channels now work completely. In 2.0.71 Dubster only identified itself when downloading the installer – the version list, the channel lookup and the signature file still went out unauthenticated and would have hit the gate. The signature file was the most misleading one: the failure would have pointed at an invalid signature when in fact only the sign-in was missing.
  • v2.0.7124 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.71.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.71 (24.08.2026)

    • If your account lacks access to beta or Dev versions, Dubster now says so in plain words and no longer offers a retry – without access a second attempt fails just the same.
    • If antivirus software stops the installation, the message now says what to do instead of showing a generic error.
  • v2.0.7024 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.70.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.70 (24.08.2026)

    • Pre-release versions (Beta, Dev) can now only be downloaded from winku with a signed-in account that has access. Dubster now identifies itself when downloading – otherwise every update would have failed as soon as you switched to Beta in the update area.
  • v2.0.6924 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.69.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.69 (24.08.2026)

    • If you change your update channel elsewhere, Dubster now picks it up immediately instead of after up to a minute – provided the winku background service is running. If it is not, the previous once-a-minute check still applies.
  • v2.0.6824 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.68.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.68 (24.08.2026)

    • The update area now sits inside the account area – there is no separate menu entry any more.
    • It opens by itself when an update is waiting or something went wrong, and stays closed otherwise; when closed it shows version and state in a single line.
    • Before an update you are asked, instead of the window shrinking without a word. During the installation a small window shows which version is being installed and how far it is.
    • If you change your channel elsewhere – in your account on winku.de or via WinkuStore – the display follows without a restart.
  • v2.0.6724 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.67.exe · 78.1 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.67 (24.08.2026)

    • The "Updates" area now looks the same as in every other Winku program: installed version with its state, then the update channel, then the changes.
    • You now pick the update channel there – with "Same as account" if your account setting should apply. Any other choice applies only on this computer and leaves your account untouched.
    • When an update is available, what it brings you is stated right next to the button.
    • If an update fails, a card names the reason and what applies now – for example that the download will continue on the next attempt, or that your installed version is unchanged.
  • v2.0.6623 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.66.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.66 (23.08.2026)

    • An update no longer aborts a running job. If you press "Update" while a dub is being created, Dubster names what is running and leaves the choice to you – until now the work was cancelled without asking, before the update had even been downloaded.
    • If a view fails, the program stays usable and states the reason instead of showing an empty window.
  • v2.0.6523 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.65.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.65 (23.08.2026)

    • If Winku declines the automatic sign-in – for example because the maximum number of signed-in devices is reached – the reason is now shown verbatim on the sign-in screen. Until now it was lost on the way through the winku background service and you only saw that it had failed.
    • If the service cannot pass the sign-in on, the second route is taken quietly. That case is now told apart by the server's answer instead of by the wording of an error message.
  • v2.0.6423 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.64.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.64 (23.08.2026)

    • Fixes an empty window when opening the account area: the server now sends update channel names as a compound value instead of plain text. Dubster could not display that and discarded the entire view, leaving a blank surface.
    • New safety net: if a view fails, the program stays usable and states the reason instead of showing an empty window. The reason is also written to the log so it can be found after a restart.
  • v2.0.6323 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.63.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.63 (23.08.2026)

    • Fixes a bug from 2.0.62: on machines running an older version of the winku background service, the sign-in screen showed "Unbekannte Methode: token_derive". That case now quietly falls back to the second route and signs you in as intended.
  • v2.0.6223 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.62.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.62 (23.08.2026)

    • Automatic sign-in at startup now also works when the winku background service holds the session and no other Winku program happens to be open. Until now you were shown a sign-in screen in that case, even though you were already signed in.
    • If the takeover fails, the reason is shown on the sign-in screen instead of quietly trying a second route and leaving you guessing.
    • Controls now match the other Winku programs: "Video file / YouTube link" as a row of choices, yes/no settings as toggles instead of tick boxes, and the DE/EN language switch as a consistent pair in the top right corner.
  • v2.0.6123 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.61.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.61 (23.08.2026)

    • If you are already signed in to another Winku program on this device, Dubster now signs you in with the same account automatically at startup – no typing, no button.
    • If that does not work (for example because the maximum number of signed-in devices is reached), the reason is shown right on the sign-in screen instead of just presenting empty fields.
    • After signing out on purpose, the same account is not taken over again straight away, so you can sign in with a different one.
  • v2.0.6123 Aug 2026Setup_Dubster.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.61 (23.08.2026)

    • If you are already signed in to another Winku program on this device, Dubster now signs you in with the same account automatically at startup – no typing, no button.
    • If that does not work (for example because the maximum number of signed-in devices is reached), the reason is shown right on the sign-in screen instead of just presenting empty fields.

  • v2.0.6023 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.60.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Fixes a bug that could silently move you back to the stable channel: if a Winku response omitted the channel, "Stable" applied – with no message, and you would have stopped receiving beta updates.
    • The labels of the channel selection now come from the shared Winku foundation so they read the same in every program.
  • v2.0.5922 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.59.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The update setting is now called "Update channels" and allows multiple selections: Stable is always included, Beta and Dev can be added if your account is enabled for them.
    • Channels that are not enabled stay visible so you know they exist – with a note that they are not enabled for your account.
  • v2.0.5822 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.58.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • If a new version is waiting for its turn on your machine, that is now said plainly: "will be installed as soon as it is your turn" – instead of describing the rollout mechanism.
  • v2.0.5722 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.57.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The note "a new version exists, but it is not your turn yet" now only appears if that version really is newer than yours. Otherwise it could have been shown to users who already have the latest version.
  • v2.0.5622 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.56.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • If a new version exists but your machine is not scheduled yet, Dubster now says exactly that – instead of "you are up to date", which simply was not true. The "Update anyway" button stays next to it.
  • v2.0.5522 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.55.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • When you press "Check again" yourself, an available update is now offered right away. Previously your own search counted as a silent background check and could be held back by the staged rollout.
  • v2.0.5422 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.54.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • When Winku is unreachable, the message now says your sign-in stays valid. Before it read like being logged out, although nothing was wrong.
  • v2.0.5322 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.53.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The sign-in button is now called "Sign in with Winku", the same as in every Winku program – the word "automatically" was misleading when you click it yourself.
  • v2.0.5222 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.52.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The "Sign in with Winku automatically" button now tells two cases apart: if your sign-in really ended, it says so and you sign in again. If only the connection is missing, the button stays – your sign-in is no longer discarded just because the network dropped for a moment.
  • v2.0.5122 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.51.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • At winku.de/account this sign-in now appears only as "Dubster <version>" – without your computer name, which would otherwise stay visible there permanently.
  • v2.0.5022 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.50.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • If Winku is unreachable at startup, Dubster no longer throws you out of your account. Instead the sign-in screen offers "Sign in with Winku automatically" at the top – one click is enough.
    • In streamer mode only your user name is replaced inside paths instead of the whole path: you recognise your own folder on stream without your name being in it.
    • The placeholder profile picture is now a neutral symbol instead of an initial.
  • v2.0.4922 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.49.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The sign-in screen now follows the shared design of all Winku programs: language choice before signing in, clearer layout, the Winku mark next to the name.
    • Terms and privacy are agreed once before first use instead of at every sign-in.
    • If your sign-in ends – because you changed your password or signed this device out at winku.de – Dubster notices immediately and shows the sign-in screen instead of continuing with an account that no longer exists.
    • At winku.de/account this device now appears by name instead of just "Winku program".
  • v2.0.4822 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.48.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Post-install setup completes again. A damaged Python environment could previously pass as "present"; setup then failed every time without saying why. It is now verified, rebuilt if needed – and whatever goes wrong is written to the log.
    • Dubster can no longer be started twice: a second start brings the existing window to the front instead of opening an empty second one.
  • v2.0.4722 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.47.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Fixes the blank window from 2.0.46: the interface loads again. If you installed 2.0.46, this update brings back a usable Dubster.
    • All security improvements from 2.0.46 remain in place (encrypted sign-in token, program files checked at startup, signature verified when switching to older versions too).
  • v2.0.4522 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.45.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Important: updates arrive again. In 2.0.42 through 2.0.44 the installer was terminated the moment Dubster closed – the progress bar finished, but nothing was installed.
  • v2.0.4122 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.41.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Consent is now also recognised device-wide: on a PC with several user accounts, Dubster does not ask again if consent already exists for the device.
  • v2.0.4022 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.40.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Consent to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy now applies device-wide across all winku programs: if you already agreed in another program, Dubster does not ask again – and vice versa. When you are signed in, the consent is additionally recorded with your account.
  • v2.0.3922 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.39.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Dubster reports anonymous usage figures to winku (version, channel, operating system, language, whether an update succeeded, number of dubs created). No names, accounts, files or content are transmitted; the identifier is a random number unrelated to you or your device.
    • Consent to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy is no longer requested if WinkuStore has already obtained it – it is only asked for standalone installations.
  • v2.0.3822 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.38.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Before signing in you now actively agree to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy (with links to read them). Time and version of your consent are stored; without consent, signing in stays disabled.
    • Updated winku update system (SDK 1.12.1).
  • v2.0.3722 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.37.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The central placeholder details for streamer and screenshot mode are now obtained through the shared winku foundation (SDK 1.12.0) so all programs show the same ones.
  • v2.0.3622 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.36.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The placeholder details for streamer and screenshot mode now come centrally from winku so all programs show the same ones. Without internet the previous values still apply – so the protection always works.
  • v2.0.3522 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.35.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Updated winku update system (SDK 1.10.0). Nothing changes for you.
  • v2.0.3422 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.34.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The update window no longer has a double frame: the content now sits directly in the window and is closed via the window button in the top right.
  • v2.0.3322 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.33.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Before installing, Dubster checks again which version is currently offered. If a newer one is available or the chosen one was withdrawn, it asks instead of silently installing something else – in plain words, with a choice between installing and cancelling.
    • New "Streamer mode" section in Account: use the WinkuStore setting, always hide, or off.
  • v2.0.3222 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.32.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Streamer mode now runs on the shared winku foundation (SDK 1.9.0) so all programs behave exactly the same. Nothing changes for you.
  • v2.0.3122 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.31.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Error reports are now guaranteed to contain no personal details: in addition to paths and credentials, email addresses, your account name and your Windows user name are removed before a report is sent.
    • Updated winku update system (SDK 1.8.0).
  • v2.0.3022 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.30.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Streamer mode: while you are live, Dubster hides your account name and profile picture and shows neutral placeholders. This is controlled centrally through the winku setting shared by all programs. Your real data stays unchanged.
    • Updates install more reliably: background processing is now shut down safely before files are replaced – it could otherwise block the installation.
  • v2.0.2922 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.29.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Dubster starts without a brief empty window: the window only appears once the content has finished rendering.
    • Screenshot mode for product images: shows fixed, neutral placeholders instead of real account data. This only affects the display in that mode, your real data stays unchanged.
  • v2.0.2822 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.28.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Rating better integrated: in Account it is now a short line with stars and status instead of a form; the comment field only appears once you click a star. In addition, Dubster asks for a rating once, discreetly, after a dub is finished – dismissible.
  • v2.0.2721 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.27.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The video size preview now shows the studio realistically: the player in 16:9, next to it the area for the selected voiceline which resizes as you drag, and below it a timeline with the audio track and speaker tracks.
  • v2.0.2621 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.26.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Update channel switchable in Account: you can switch between "Stable" and "Beta" yourself. Beta gets new versions earlier but may still contain bugs. After switching, the check runs again immediately.
  • v2.0.2521 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.25.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The save location is shown again on the Create screen. Previously it only showed "…" when background processing was not ready yet.
    • Video preview size: while dragging the slider you now see a live preview of the studio layout. It is saved when you release the slider.
    • Language switcher (DE/EN) restyled as a segmented control in the unified winku style.
  • v2.0.2421 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.24.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Title bar: the window buttons (minimize/maximize/close) had a different background than the rest of the bar. The bar is now a solid colour and blends seamlessly into the button area.
  • v2.0.2321 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.23.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • More robust update installation: if Dubster still had files open while updating, the installation aborted. The installer now closes blocking parts itself and Dubster shuts down reliably before files are replaced.
    • The version history is now grouped by version series and collapsed – instead of an endless list you first see the series (e.g. v2.0) and open them as needed.
    • The version number is shown under the name in the sidebar again, and dates in the history use a consistent DD.MM.YYYY format.
    • The divider below the title bar now runs continuously up to the window buttons.
  • v2.0.2221 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.22.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Fixed an update bug: while a new version was being rolled out gradually, Dubster wrongly reported "you have the latest version" and could not be updated manually either. Now you can see that the version is already out and can install it right away.
  • v2.0.2121 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.21.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • New look in the unified winku style: darker interface, violet-turquoise accents, rounder cards and buttons. Layout and operation remain unchanged.

    • Update system updated to winku SDK 1.5.0. This enables smaller future update downloads (only changed files) without losing anything in your installation – the uninstaller and your own folders are guaranteed to be preserved.
  • v2.0.1921 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.19.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Update system updated (winku SDK 1.3.0): signature verification now works reliably with all signature formats. Together with 2.0.18 this ensures updates can be installed reliably going forward.
  • v2.0.1721 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.17.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Update progress shows real percentages again while downloading.
    • If an update fails, Dubster automatically reports the reason anonymously to winku so the cause can be fixed quickly. Explicitly NO personal data, file paths or credentials are transmitted – only the error type, the affected version and the operating system.
  • v2.0.1621 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.16.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Updates now use the shared winku update system (winku-sdk-js): in addition to the checksum, the digital signature of every update is verified (more protection against tampered files). Channels (Stable/Beta/Dev) and staged rollout work as before. Invisible to you.
  • v2.0.1821 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.18.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Important update fix: signature verification rejected every update on Windows ("Digest method not supported"), which prevented Dubster from updating. Updates are now delivered in a compatible signature format – updating works reliably again.
  • v2.0.1521 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.15.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Safer update delivery: when winku rolls out an update gradually, Dubster offers it to a portion of users first and then to everyone (mandatory updates still immediately). Mostly invisible – it makes roll-outs more stable.
  • v2.0.1421 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.14.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Release channels: Dubster now checks for updates matching your channel (Stable/Beta/Dev). Normal users stay on "Stable" (unchanged) and only get approved versions; Beta and Dev testers receive earlier pre-releases. The channel comes from your winku account; the Updates tab shows it.
  • v2.0.1321 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.13.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Migration from the old (system-wide) installer to the new per-user installer: an existing older Dubster installation under "Program Files" is now detected during setup and removed (in a normal setup after a short prompt), so two versions no longer remain in parallel. A one-time Windows admin prompt may appear for this; afterwards everything runs without further prompts.
  • v2.0.1220 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.12.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The update window is now a small, centered window – no more large fullscreen window behind it.
    • Fixed an update error ("resource busy/locked" / EBUSY when starting an update): each download now uses its own folder and only one update runs at a time. This prevents crashes and stuck updates; after the update Dubster restarts reliably again.
    • The runtime environment now lives in a fixed location (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Dubster) and persists across updates – making future updates much faster (no more rebuild).
  • v2.0.1120 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.11.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Install and updates without an admin prompt: Dubster now installs per user (to %LOCALAPPDATA%), so there is no more Windows admin prompt (UAC) – silent auto-updates run entirely without an admin window too. The required components (Python, FFmpeg) are also set up without admin rights.
  • v2.0.1020 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.10.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • In-app rating is now complete: your star rating is saved, moderated and – once approved – shown on the Dubster website. The status ("Under review" / "Published") is visible right in the Account tab; you can update an existing rating any time.
  • v2.0.920 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.9.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Import dub: a single "Import" button auto-detects ZIP files and pack folders (no more separate "Folder"/"ZIP").
    • New in-app rating in Account: stars plus an optional comment – appears on the Dubster website.
  • v2.0.820 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.8.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • The Account area now shows the official winku logo next to "Signed in via winku".
  • v2.0.720 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.7.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed
    • Video preview in the studio is now steplessly adjustable (slider in Account) and a bit more compact by default.
    • The "new update" hint now appears in the sidebar and is checked in the background at low cost, so a new release also shows up automatically while Dubster stays open.
    • The help window now shows the shortcuts you actually configured; help texts are multilingual.
    • Updates tab fully multilingual – the change history appears in English as soon as it is available.
    • Account area: clearer "Signed in via winku" note for your own account.
  • v2.0.620 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.6.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.6 (20.08.2026)

    • English interface: Dubster is now multilingual (German/English) with a switcher in the top right; the language is auto-detected and remembered.

  • v2.0.520 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.5.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.5 (20.08.2026)

    • Studio: much larger video preview, tidier layout, a Help button with tips instead of the hint line.
    • "Copy text" briefly shows the line's caption so you can copy it out.
    • Volume now applies live during playback; the red playhead glides more smoothly.
    • Spacebar plays/pauses even after using sliders or buttons.
    • "My created dubs" now have an Edit button (opens the pack as a draft in the studio).
    • Wider scroll handle under the timeline.
    • Modern in-app update: its own progress window, silent install, then automatic restart.
    • winku profile picture shown next to your name (if available); dates in DD.MM.YYYY format.
  • v2.0.420 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.4.exe · 77.9 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.4

    • Import dubs: pick an existing pack as a folder or ZIP — Dubster loads it as an editable draft (lines, speakers, audio, video) that you can open in the studio and re-render.
    • In the "Dubs" tab, an empty list now shows a button that takes you straight to Create.
    • Sign-in works again in the installed app (winku login without an app key).
  • v2.0.320 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.3.exe · 78.0 MBNot available
    What changed

    2.0.3

    • Save your work and continue later: store drafts (with audio), see their status in the overview (Draft / Rendered / Changed since render), resume and render any time.
    • New "Dubs" tab: lists drafts and created packs; empty lists are hidden.
    • "Studio" now goes straight to the dub overview when nothing is being edited (or to "Create" if there is nothing yet).
    • Sign-in window: button to update if a new version is available.
    • The installer now shows the current step with a percentage progress.
    • In-app updates run quietly (small progress window instead of a wizard) and restart Dubster afterwards; with unchanged dependencies the update is fast.
    • Filmstrip in the studio no longer distorts, horizontal scrollbar when zooming, "All" button fixed.
  • v2.0.220 Aug 2026Dubster-Setup-2.0.2.exe · 77.9 MBNot available

    • No more location or permission dialog at startup — the app requests no system rights.

The Choicer Voicer is a game-show game by yeahmaybe – “a game show where your voice is the star”: vocal impressions across different, funny game modes. Dubster produces the Dub Packs for its Dub Mode.

Question not listed?Ask us via support
  1. Does Dubster cost anything?

No, Dubster is free (not open source, no public repository).

  2. Does everything run locally?

Yes – video and audio processing happen entirely on your PC. Only login and optional sharing go through Winku.

  3. Do I need an account?

Yes, for Dubster 2.0 you sign in with your Winku account. You can register for free at winku.de/account/register (opens in a new tab).

  4. What are the packs for?

For Dub Mode in The Choicer Voicer – voice over your favourite scenes.

  5. Do I get updates?

Yes – new versions arrive automatically (SHA256-verified). The version archive keeps the most recent versions available for download; older ones only appear in the history.

  6. Where do I get help?

Through the support form at winku.de/support (opens in a new tab) – pick “Dubster” there. You will get an email as soon as we reply.

  7. Why does Windows warn me (“Windows protected your PC”) during installation?

The installer has no Windows signature (Authenticode) – that would need a paid certificate. Windows SmartScreen therefore warns about programs that are not widely used yet. That does not mean anything is wrong: to install, choose “More info” → “Run anyway”. The file is still verified: every version comes with a SHA256 checksum and its own Winku signature, and Dubster checks both before it installs an update. You can also recalculate the checksum yourself on the download page.
